The film is based on a webcomic by Joo Ho-min, which was serialized on Naver from 2010 to 2012. The movie was released in South Korea on December 20, 2017, and was a commercial and critical success, breaking several box office records in the country. The film features impressive visual effects and action sequences, which were created by the VFX studio Dexter Studios.


The movie "Along with the Gods" follows the journey of a firefighter named Ja-hong, who dies unexpectedly and finds himself in the afterlife. Korean movies have set a new standard of excellence and "Along with the Gods" is no exception. While I enjoyed the movie and found it to be engaging, I would give it a rating of 7 out of 10.
